I selected 1998 as the starting year to compare teams because by going back further, DoG becomes the obvious "best team" using my "points" method. The best team 1998-2007 is Furious George. The best U.S. teams 1998-2007 are the Condors and Sockeye.

Here are two different methods of ranking the results of open club Nationals 1998-2007:
1.) 6 points for winning finals and 3 points for being the losing finalist. 2.) 6 points for winning finals and subtracting the point differential from 6 for the loser.
This second method gives the loser more points if they only lost by a small amount
and less points if they lost by a lot.
